April Bits & Bytes is online!
|

Roger Clark has
taken a new job that will require extensive travel, and so we bring
Computer Chat to an end. We've had a lot
of fun doing the show. We not only learned a lot, but we like to
think that we shared a lot of interesting info with our listeners, and we
also generated a lot of new members for TBCS.
Roger and I will both miss doing the show, but we are
also glad to have our Sundays free again to share with our families.
Most importantly,
we want to thank all the TBCS members that have supported the show over
the last year.

Our friend, Charles Oppermann is in town and
ready to enlighten us with excellent info from a Microsoft insider.
Charles was a Program Manager at Microsoft for both
Windows and Internet Explorer.
He'll be our guest speaker Tuesday night at Mark
Hammock's Internet Development SIG. Charles will be showing some
of the interesting visual effects that can be accomplished on a web page
by using JavaScript.
Those who have attended Charles' seminars in the past
know that he not only presents good, useful information, but that he does
it in a relaxed atmosphere that is both stimulating and entertaining.

About a month ago, I was warned by Tom Kiehl that
someone was hijacking eBay accounts. I published his warning in the
3/2/03 Bulletin:
http://tampa-bay.org/boardbiz/bulletin/2003/0302.htm
Tom also sent a warning to our friend, Dave Gussow, at
the St. Pete Times. Dave wrote about the eBay hijackings this past
week, and mentioned Tom's name in the process. If you are interested
in reading the complete article online, please head over to:
