TBCS Members have access to our Audio/Video equipment which is capable of digitizing many analog formats. While usage of this equipment is free to our members, you MUST initially be trained in order to properly use it. Start the process by sending an email to secretary@tampa-bay.org explaining what type of conversion you would like to perform. A volunteer from our stable of Mentors will contact you in order to schedule training.
Here are the types of conversions we are capable of performing:
Analog to Digital conversions of any sort tend to be time-consuming. Almost ALL conversions must be done in real-time. In other words, if you want to digitize that old Beatles album, you will have to play the whole album.
No, we do NOT digitize 8mm or Super 8mm film. It requires special equipment.
No, we do not have people you can pay to do the conversions for you.

Volunteers needed to keep the Center open from 9am 'til 5pm throughout the week.
Your job is simply to answer the phone and to meet and greet people who come in to pay dues, ask about the Repair Clinic, etc. Shifts are 9am-1pm and 1-5pm on Monday thru Friday.
