Computer Q&A:   If you have an interest that doesn’t quite fit any of our topical SIGs, this freeform group is for you. Whether you have a simple question, difficult problem, knowledge that you want to share, or a new discovery that you just have to tell others , Cathy invites you to come join her merry band of computer enthusiasts.

Digital Video The group evaluates types and sources of digital files. The files may be imported into a video editor to produce a movie or archived. Methods of sharing the movie include copying the file to a DVD, publishing it to the web or saving it on the local computer.

 eBay This SIG is for members who buy and sell on eBay to come together to share their experiences and ask questions. We can share ideas and techniques, explore what is selling and what is not selling

Genealogy I & II - The Genealogy SIGs cover  what to do in order to find your family’s vital records. Howard has over 40 years experience in the Genealogy field and teaches other basic Genealogy courses.  If you have an interest in your family’s history, Howard invites you to "come and find those elusive horse thieves and other famous (or infamous) ancestors".

Hands-on Embroidery  - The topic  covered in the Beginning Embird SIG  will then be covered with a hands-on version of the same topic  in our lab.

Internet Development The Internet Development SIG focuses on the more advanced topics of web site design including improving Search Engine placement, Internet oriented graphics techniques, animation, client side scripting, ActiveX, Java, browser differences, HTML editors, and cookies to name a few.

Internet SIG - Anonymous web surfing, password recovery, Vista tips, Dead pixel reincarnation, freeware, Virtual memory swap file are typical topics covered in this SIG

Intermediate Computing Carol King will  present her favorite tips - followed by a Q&A session (all questions are fair game).

Microsoft Office The Microsoft Office SIG welcomes novice, intermediate and expert users. Each month we will address your issues in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. If there is a particular issue you would like addressed, please feel free to send an email to Ray Danen and we will put your item on the agenda. Please be sure to put: "Microsoft Office Sig TBCS" in the subject line of the email. It is always so much more fun to learn from each other than it is to study a manual! You will not only find information at this special interest group, but also camaraderie and fun.

Novice We welcome all of the folks just starting into the world of computing. We meet every Tuesday afternoon at the Resource Center. Our emphasis is on word processing, greeting cards, and Internet & e-mail basics. Our additional purpose is to help the novice become computer literate and suggest ways to keep out of trouble. All questions will be answered and treated with respect.

Novice Visual Basic A special SIG for programmers

Photoshop Elements Teaches members  how to use Photoshop to edit and print photos PowerPoint: This SIG explores the many uses of PowerPoint, a software component of Micro Soft Office. It has uses in both personal and business settings that will be explored. You can use it to make a photo album complete with animation and sound, and then put it on a disk that can be used anywhere whether or not the software is loaded on that particular computer (great for gifts or just sharing family events). In your business life you can use the program to create presentations consisting of slides, graphics and animation that will make any meeting more effective and enjoyable (and impress the boss). It will also produce outlines and handouts that support the presentation. The SIG is meant to introduce you to the software if you are a new user, and increase your skill if you are already familiar with it. Publishing Software The Publishing Software SIG uses In-Design software by Adobe to demonstrate professional software publishing techniques.

Scrapbooking: This SIG is all about having fun with photos....exploring software programs, sharing ideas, and showing results of one's creative work.

Spreadsheet The focus of this group is Microsoft Excel

Web Site Design  While the Internet Development SIG focuses on the more advanced topics of web site design, this SIG is for those wishing to learn to design Web sites.

Windows We explore all aspects of Window applications form Windows 95 to Vista

Visual Basic The Visual Basic SIG welcomes all members interested in this popular programming language. All are invited to bring your coding triumphs and tribulations and share them with the group. Topics covered are often impromptu discussions and may apply to versions 3 through 6 of Visual Basic. One thing is for certain though, you’ll learn something new at every meeting of Tom Kiehl’s popular SIG.
